CONSULTANT FAQS

WHAT IS ABIDO?

Abido is a network that connects experienced healthcare IT professionals to opportunities with organizations around the world.  Abido allows professionals to establish their own rate of pay while working remotely from their home or anywhere they choose.  Abido also provides the flexibility for a professional to work as much or as little as they choose.

HOW DO I BECOME A PART OF THE ABIDO NETWORK?

Abido is looking for seasoned professionals who have expert experience in EMR maintenance and build, IT security, and healthcare IT project management.  Fill out our online form and we would love to talk to you about your qualifications.

HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?

Professionals sign up to become a member of the Abido network.  Organizations contact Abido with prospective IT projects.  When a project matches your skillset and expertise, Abido will contact you, and if interested, you place a bid on the project. Your bid will include the hours and rate you expect the project to take.  The organization will review bids and interview selected members from the Abido network.  Once the organization selects you as the right professional for the job, you submit a final Statement of Work defining a timeline and deliverables.  Once the project is completed and the organization is satisfied, Abido releases payment to the professional.

HOW SHOULD I RESPOND IF AN ORGANIZATION CONTACTS ME OUTSIDE OF THE PLATFORM?

Engaging a professional through the Abido Network and then agreeing to terms outside of the Network is strictly prohibited.  As part of your Terms of Service, you are obligated to contact Abido promptly if solicited directly by an organization with the intent of working outside of the Abido Network.

WHAT HAPPENS IF AN ORGANIZATION AND CONSULTANT DO NOT AGREE ABOUT THE COMPLETION OF A PROJECT?

Establishing milestones and discrete deliverables in the Statement of Work avoids any discrepancy for most projects.  In the event that the two parties still cannot agree, an Abido mediation expert will work with both the organization and the professional to try to come to a quick resolution.

WHAT IS THE REVIEW PROCESS?

Once a project is complete, both organizations and professionals will have the opportunity to leave feedback for each other.  This feedback will be visible for others to see. It is a great opportunity to get recommendations for future projects.
